Trump Is ‘All Ears’ To Cruz’s Border Wall Plan Involving El Chapo’s Money
via Conservative HQ, The Horn News & The White House:
Yesterday, as it became clear that Capitol Hill’s establishment Republicans had once again let down President Trump and the GOP’s conservative – populist base, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said the President was weighing “alternative options” for building a border wall and he’ll keep them on the table, whether or not he signs off on the latest border funding bill that allows far less money than he believes is required to secure our southern border.
*** BREAKING: The President Is Declaring a National Emergency ***
.@PressSec: President Trump will sign the government funding bill, and as he has stated before, he will also take other executive action—including a national emergency—to ensure we stop the national security and humanitarian crisis at the border.

“Like the president said yesterday, he is not happy about it, but it is okay he will get the job done no matter what,” Sanders told Fox News’ “Fox and Friends.” “He has alternative options. And he will keep those on the table.
Cruz’s idea could easily give the GOP the victory they’re looking for on the southern border. It could give Americans the security they’re demanding. And it wouldn’t cost taxpayers a dime.
Mexican drug kingpin Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman will be going to jail soon. It’s unlikely he’ll ever get out. Use his money, Cruz says — an estimated $14 billion in assets leftover from years of illegal drug trafficking — to fund the border wall.
It’s based on legislation Cruz proposed in 2017 — and even Democratic lawmakers were forced to agree that it was a good idea.
“Fourteen billion dollars will go a long way to secure our southern border, and hinder the illegal flow of drugs, weapons, and individuals,” Cruz said.
