To survive a post catastrophic world we have to develop a positive attitude concerning the situation which we find ourselves in. Remember the old saying that says, “When life provides you with lemons its time to make lemonade.” It’s important for survivalists to dig deeply into the issues at hand and try to retrieve the potential good within the crisis. Granted, seeking out the good in a bad situation won’t be easy but it offers several advantages over merely accepting the issue at its worse case and leaving it at that.

The ability to view some good in all bad situations tends to not only boost the morale of those involved but is an excellent exercise in developing your imagination and your creativity. We all know how useful traits such as those can be during disastrous times.

When considering these alternatives keep well in mind the psychologically convictions necessary to properly cope with survival reactions such as carelessness, depression, giving-up, inattention, the loss of confidence and the lack of initiating proper decision making comparisons. These types of errors can often be very detrimental not only in ones daily activities but in their dealings with fellow survivalists.

It’s totally up to you to be prepared when the balloon goes up and the infrastructure starts to collapse. Each of us must do our share to be properly trained and equipped to tackle the issues as they will be presented to us. We must take our combined life experiences and carefully add our new skills and determinations to it and learn to cope effectively with the rigors of our new life as it’s given to us. Daily operations involving the use of these new skills will instill a sense of confidence in our abilities to succeed in our survival efforts. Another excellent way to deal with these types of issues relating to stress is to develop some effective stress management techniques. Frequently, people who find that they are under heavy stress conditions generally have a potential to initially panic. This is particularly relevant if these people are not prepared psychologically or well-trained. Naturally we can not control our circumstances from which we find ourselves but we can maintain a measure of control over our ability to cope with the issues.

The stress management techniques provide us with an opportunity to significantly develop an ability to remain calm and to focus accurately at our immediate problems. It is this trait which potentially can save your life and those who rely upon you.

Some effective means of fighting stress include various relaxation skills and an ability to properly manage your time in such a manner that you are not overly rushed. These various hints will provide you with the will to survival and hopefully will save your life.
