If you have continued following the news since the November 5 election, you will have seen news about DOGE. What is DOGE?
President-elect Trump, in keeping with his promises, has charged business gurus Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to head up a new Department of Government Efficiency. Nicknamed “DOGE,” this private commission will audit government spending, identifying waste and reporting on expenditures that need to be eliminated.
President-elect Trump has given Musk and Ramaswamy until “no later than” July 4, 2026, to get this work done. During that time, the efficiency gurus hope to cut as much as $2 trillion from the federal budget. It has the potential to be one of the most effective tools for the Trump Administration to cut waste and deep state bureaucracy.
Dear Heavenly Father, we lift Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy up to You. Please give them wisdom. Help them and the entire DOGE team to uncover, identify, and reveal every area of government waste. As they do, please help laws and budgets to be permanently changed to eliminate waste. Thank You, Father. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
