It’s Clear Now … U.S.A Attacked! … Run-Down on The Recent Nord Stream Pipeline Revelations
Nord Pipeline: Cooked-Goose Sauce for Roasting Biden’s Gander

The conspiracy theorists had it right, yet again, when they said the U.S. blew up the Nord Stream Pipeline, a top secret ‘leaked’ by weak-minded President Biden even before the event. Now that the truth of it being so has been revealed by MSM, Biden’s brash undeclared war against Russia, one terrible truth remains: Biden has given Russia just cause for a retaliatory military strike against U.S. assets anywhere in the World, under the internationally accepted doctrine of Measured Response to military peradventures initiated by one nation against another, unprovoked. Both NATO, generally under Article Five, and the United Nations find measured response the preferred alternative to war, though the U.N. would prefer conflict be resolved through U.N. sanctions or the International Court of Justice; the World Court.
Given the current U.N. stance against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, they are not likely to find themselves asking for sanctions against the U.N.’s chief financial backer. The World Court is another matter, but thus far, it has a poor track record, in that it either fails to perform as would be expected in any other court system, or judgments simply go ignored by defendants. They might have better success at leveling charges against Biden, himself, through the International Criminal Court, for crimes against humanity (hardships on Europe for the loss of fuel for winter heating needs), but that would not give them recompense for the massive financial losses, and it would be hard to prove such charges.
The only blessing in Biden’s Blunder, which is also a tremendous blunder by both the greater U.S. Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense (Pentagon Joint Chiefs), and the National Security Council, is that there was no loss of life involved in the attack on the pipeline. Under Measured Response guidelines, any Russian retaliation is deemed to be ‘measured’ if it is of ‘like nature,’ which in this case means loss of assets does not justify an attack resulting in loss of life.
However, measured also allows for a punitive factor such that the response can be several times more devastating than the original attack. The Nord Pipeline was an extremely costly attack, in terms of the manpower and financial costs incurred in both the original construction, and the cost to repair, not to mention the cost of lost revenues while out of service; the retalitory devastation Russia may deem measured are incalculably astronomical. The nature of the assets do not need be of the same type, though such may typically seen as ideal, in terms of making a political point. However, as example, destruction of U.S. satellites or cyber-sabotage of (any number of targets) is certainly an option. Moreover, because the pipeline was not a military target, major US business sectors may be seen as logical targets by Russian tacticians.
The whole idea and theory of measured response, is that it is a step short of, and even intended to avoid war, while at the same time punishing an enemy who took a step too far down that road. The real risk still exists that, a measured response results in the enemy electing an escalation, and any such escalation then in turn risks more escalation under the doctrine. The risk of war resulting between the U.S. and Russia, as result of Biden’s careless and ill conceived attack on Russian corporate assets has moved the United States closer to potential war with Russia, nuclear, or conventional, than in the days of the Cuban Missile Crises.
Job 20:29 (KJV) “This is the wicked man’s portion from God, Even the heritage decreed to him by God.”
The Ironic History of Measured Response
The U.S. has a long history of measured response attacks on errant enemies, and therefore, has no basis to protest a Russian response. Indeed, it is hard to find examples of such response in the news regarding other countries, though there are some. In fact, as near as can be determined by this author while working under a time deadline for this article, it appears that the doctrine of measured response was ‘invented’ by us, evolving under the Monroe Doctrine. It is about much more in terms of options, than just ‘actual response,’ it is also bandied about in saber rattling fashion as a warning to nations, and as such has had good deterrent effect.
One reason for this, perhaps, is that international media may not use the same terms to describe it. A quick search reveals a half-dozen times we have employed it in recent history, more often as a threat, than actual deed, though we have certainly at times undertaken military action, as well. Countries like North Korea and Iran, have been targets of such threats/actions more than once, typically resulting in a lot of political fuming and threats of escalation, but in the end, calming their bad behavior for a time.
The irony comes in the form of Russian kudos to Biden for not electing a measured military response for a missile which killed two people in Poland, a matter in which it was not possible to conclusively prove who fired the missile, or if deliberately targeting Poland, or if unintentionally errant. This was after the pipeline’s destruction, at a time before proof of U.S. responsibility was in hand. Now the shoe is on the other foot, and Biden and America now feels the pinch of it, portending a possible Russian measured response.
If we ask how JFK, Eisenhower, Trump, or Roosevelt would have handled it had the pipeline been ours, attacked by Russia, I think we all know the answer. Measured and punitive response. With any luck, Putin will be smart enough to know that there are major US corporate assets which could be targeted which are politically far more valuable to Biden’s Democrat party, than to the rest of country; woke banks, and firms in other industries which are driving the country towards authoritarian mob rule dangerous not only to Russia, but to Americans, as well. But that’s just wishful thinking on my part.
Regardless of what happens, I will not hate Putin for it, but Biden, and our own woke military and intelligence community, for carelessly putting us all in this situation in support of their own personal ideological fantasies. It is just one more kind and example of treasonous behavior in the politically weaponized sectors of the Federal Government, under Democrats.
