Comedian Andy Dick Arrested for Public Intoxication, Failing To Register as Sex Offender

California sheriff’s deputies responding to a complaint of an intoxicated individual ended up arresting comedian Andy Dick early Friday morning.
Deputies from the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station arrived at the Grand Avenue scene and discovered the apparently intoxicated 57-year-old comedian.
Dick, a resident of Hemet, Calif., was arrested without incident according to a statement from Sergeant Pat Larson, the reporting deputy.
“During a routine records check it was determined Dick was a registered sex offender who was not up-to-date on his registration,” Sergeant Larson stated. “Dick was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on the charges of being under the influence of alcohol in public (public intoxication) and failing to register as a sex offender.”
The comedian was sentenced to 90 days in jail after being convicted of sexual battery, in November 2022, according to a report from The Blast. After being convicted of grabbing a Los Angeles Uber driver’s crotch in 2018, he was required to register as a sex offender.
The report noted Dick was sentenced to 14 days in jail for sexual battery in December 2019 for allegedly assaulting a woman on a sidewalk as he walked past. He spent just one day behind bars for that offense because of jail overcrowding.
