Why You Must Be Careful Where You Get Your News
I’m sure you’ve seen the recent attacks on independent news and commentary sites (like this one) by the mainstream media and many people on the political left. They have been throwing out accusations of “fake news,” saying that we are stating things that aren’t true as if they are true. Specifically, they say that independent news sites were deliberately lying and misleading people for the purpose of getting Donald Trump elected President.
Now, whether you love or hate Trump, you need to question those making the accusations to see if their news sources are valid, or even if they have sources. What do I mean? What I mean is that the mainstream media is complicit in misleading people Let’s be honest here: not giving relevant information (withholding information) is often as misleading as outright lying, and the mainstream media has done both.
