Ilhan Omar is out of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. Good riddance.
Omar is an antisemite and a dangerous one at that. The Minnesota congresswoman makes every merited charge and accusation against her about her ethnic background. She disarms would-be liberals with lamentations of oppression. Those lamentations do not, in turn, dissuade her followers from believing awful things about Jews.
The result? The center-left stays fixated on the far right as the only source of antisemitism, which enables ever-increasing Jew-hatred on the far left.
Prior to Thursday’s House resolution booting Omar off the committee, the Minnesota congresswoman feigned remorse, ignorance, and victimization on CNN’s Sunday show “State of the Union.”
