Judge In Flynn Case Has Gone Full Activist, Appointing Gotti Prosecutor
We all heard that charges were dismissed against General Mike Flynn however what most of didn’t expect was for the judge to refuse to sign off on it. That’s right! It’s not over yet. A judge has to sign off on the dismissal, and in this epic case he’s acting as more of an Activist than the sworn-in judge.
Zerohedge reports:
The judge in the Michael Flynn case has gone full activist – refusing to dismiss the case after the Department of Justice requested to drop charges so that an outside party could file an opposition briefing known as a “friend-of-the-court”, or “amicus” briefing.
[Thursday], Judge Emmet Sullivan took things one step further, appointing former Gotti prosecutor and judge, John Gleeson, to argue against the dismissal and to determine whether Flynn should be held in contempt for perjury.
